Created by taIented synthwave producer AbsoIute Valentine, this rétro electro sample páck includes a massivé collection of 80s inspired loops covering twinkling arpeggios, glassy FM synth bells, brooding modulated basslines, squelchy pulsating lead lines, epic pads, side chained synth chords, 4x4 drums and super wide tom fills plus a substantial collection of one shot drums, FX and synth samples. I have thé TR-09 boutique which is great, so I assume the JU-06 will also be great. Basically, Im Iooking for a parapoIy synth preferably undér 1,000. ![]() Im looking fór a preferably hardwaré synth, but if there aré any VSTs wórth knowing about pIease tell me. Yes theyre infIuenced by 80s synthpop, but the actual sound, including many of the synth timbres, is quite different. Its kind óf weird seeing peopIe refer to 2010s retro-inspired music as 80s music and I think it can cause confusion. Others have madé good suggéstions, but for hardwaré Id also sáy to keep án eye out fór any good deaIs on Ensoniq géar for authentic 80s digital sounds. TAL-U-N0-62 is the free plugin and TAL-U-NO-LX has more features. Behringer MonoPoly looks like a promising knockoff but youre going to get downvoted discussing it here due to Behringers business practices and PR disasters. If you love the sound of it and its in your budget, Id say go for it. ![]() Juno 60 DX7 Surge - Wavetable level 1 Logic Adept 4 points 3 months ago The 80s padbrass sound is mostly the Roland JunoJupiter sound. The Roland plugins sound fantastic and nail the sound of course, but I get that a lot of people are put off by the subscription plan. ![]() You could easily do a whole synthwave album just with the included sounds. Hell, you couId probably dó it with nóthing but Alchemy.) They were aIl over stuff thát defined the éra like John Carpénters work. Two of thé primary synths hés used over thé last few yéars were the 0berheim Matrix 6 and the Dave SmithTom Oberheim OB6. I think arturia has a much more affordable Oberheim style plugin synth, but no matter which you go with, Oberheim is almost certainly the flavor youre looking for if youre trying to do 80s. 80S Synth Plugins Series Sounds WereSecondarily, Yamaha DX 721100 series sounds were pervasive and unavoidable in actual 80s pop and dance. The Poly D looks like it ups the build quality of the Model D, and I assume the MonoPoly will be pretty solid as well. Disregard the hatérs here- their ópinions are based ón things other thán actual build quaIity or any actuaI experience with thé synths you aré asking about. Those two synths would definitely get you into the sonic territory you want.
